Microneedling with PRP: The Ultimate, All-Natural Antiaging Facial

Microneedling with PRP: The Ultimate, All-Natural Antiaging Facial

If you want a natural treatment to rejuvenate your skin, look no further than microneedling with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections. These two treatments work together to give you smooth, youthful skin by harnessing the power of your body’s natural healing processes.

Individually, these treatments can give you outstanding results. Both microneedling and PRP are clinically proven to stimulate the natural production of collagen. But when you combine these into a two-in-one treatment, your results become next level.

At Chrysolite Aesthetics, board-certified provider Rawan Abu-Zeitoon, MD and the care team help patients in Houston, Texas, look and feel their best, despite aging. Our revolutionary microneedling and PRP treatments reverse the signs of aging and take years off your face.

We’ve put together this helpful guide to explain microneedling, PRP, and the amazing benefits you get when you combine the two! Keep reading to find out more.

What is microneedling?

Microneedling is a popular skincare treatment where your provider uses a special instrument with tiny needles to create microchannels in the top layer of the targeted skin. These needles are much too small to cause any pain or bleeding.

The power of microneedling comes from your body’s natural healing process, triggered by the tiny injuries. During this healing process, collagen, elastin, and other growth factors are produced at higher levels to repair and rebuild the skin tissue.

This means you’re left with fresh, youthful-looking skin as your skin heals.

What is platelet-rich plasma (PRP)?

Natural growth factors and other healing substances are found in the platelets in your blood. These factors promote healing and collagen and elastin production, and are used in PRP treatments.

Your Chrysolite Aesthetic provider takes a small sample of your blood and spins it in a centrifuge, separating the platelets from the rest of the blood. This creates the PRP solution.

This solution is then injected into target areas in your skin to improve your skin and promote healing.

After a PRP treatment, the top layer of your skin naturally sheds and is replaced with skin made from the newer and tighter collagen and elastin fibers. This tightens your skin and gives you a youthful look.
