Nipple Enhancement & Nipple Stimulation in Houston, TX
Changes in nipple appearance or sensation can happen for many reasons, including pregnancy, breastfeeding, aging, hormonal changes, weight fluctuations, breast surgery, breast augmentation, or simply natural anatomy.
At Chrysolite Aesthetics in Houston, Texas, we offer two individualized, nonsurgical nipple treatments depending on your concerns and goals
Nipple Enhancement focuses primarily on improving the shape, projection, symmetry, contour, or size of the nippleusing carefully placed dermal filler, platelet-rich plasma (PRP), or a combination of the two.
Nipple Stimulation focuses primarily on nipple sensation and function and uses platelet-rich plasma derived from your own blood.
Although the treatments may overlap in certain patients, they are designed to address different concerns. A consultation is important to determine which treatment—or combination of treatments—is most appropriate for you.
What Is Nipple Enhancement?
Nipple Enhancement is a minimally invasive injectable treatment designed for patients who would like to improve the physical appearance or projection of the nipple without surgery.
Depending on your anatomy and goals, treatment may involve a small amount of hyaluronic acid dermal filler, platelet-rich plasma, or both.
Dermal filler provides structural support and volume, while PRP is obtained from your own blood and contains concentrated platelets and naturally occurring growth factors.
Nipple Enhancement may be considered for patients concerned about:
-
Flat or poorly projecting nipples
-
Loss of nipple projection over time
-
Mild asymmetry between the nipples
-
Changes following pregnancy or breastfeeding
-
Changes after breast augmentation or other breast surgery
-
Mild contour irregularities
-
A nipple that appears small or lacks definition
-
Selected cases of nipple inversion or retraction, depending on the underlying cause
The goal is subtle, proportional enhancement rather than dramatic enlargement.
What Can Nipple Filler Do?
A very small amount of dermal filler can be strategically placed to add support and improve nipple contour or projection.
Potential cosmetic benefits may include:
-
Increased nipple projection
-
Improved definition
-
Better symmetry
-
Correction of mild contour irregularities
-
More balanced nipple proportions
-
Immediate improvement in shape or volume
Published medical literature has described the use of hyaluronic acid filler to improve nipple projection, particularly following breast reconstruction, although nipple injection remains an off-label use of dermal filler.
Results vary according to anatomy, the type and amount of filler used, previous surgery, tissue quality, and individual treatment goals.
Is Nipple Filler FDA Approved?
Dermal fillers are FDA approved for specific indications such as treatment of certain facial wrinkles and folds and augmentation of areas including the lips, cheeks, chin, jawline, under-eye region, and hands.
Dermal fillers are not specifically FDA approved for nipple augmentation or nipple enhancement.
Using an FDA-approved medication or medical device in an anatomical location that is not included in its approved labeling is called off-label use. Off-label use is common throughout medicine but should only be considered after discussing the potential benefits, limitations, alternatives, and risks with a qualified medical provider.
What Is Nipple Stimulation?
Nipple Stimulation is different from Nipple Enhancement.
While enhancement focuses primarily on appearance and projection, Nipple Stimulation is intended for patients whose main concern is decreased nipple sensitivity or changes in nipple response.
Nipple sensation can change following:
-
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
-
Breast augmentation
-
Breast reduction
-
Breast lift surgery
-
Other breast procedures
-
Aging and hormonal changes
-
Changes in breast tissue
-
Nerve disruption or stretching associated with surgery
During Nipple Stimulation treatment, a small amount of blood is drawn and processed to concentrate the platelet-rich portion of the plasma.
The PRP is then carefully injected into selected areas of the nipple and surrounding tissue.
PRP contains platelets and growth factors involved in the body's normal healing response. The goal of treatment is to support local tissue remodeling and vascular response, which may help improve sensation or responsiveness in selected patients.
Because research specifically evaluating PRP injections for nipple sensation remains limited, improvement cannot be guaranteed, and results can vary considerably from patient to patient.
Nipple Enhancement vs. Nipple Stimulation: What's the Difference?
Nipple Enhancement
The primary goal is appearance.
It may address:
-
Projection
-
Shape
-
Size
-
Symmetry
-
Definition
-
Mild contour abnormalities
Treatment may include:
Dermal filler + PRP, dermal filler alone, or PRP alone, depending on your anatomy.
Nipple Stimulation
The primary goal is sensation and function.
It may be considered when there is:
-
Reduced nipple sensitivity
-
Decreased nipple response
-
Changes in sensation following breast surgery
-
Changes after pregnancy or breastfeeding
-
Age-related or hormonal changes in sensation
Treatment primarily uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP).
Some patients have concerns involving both appearance and sensation, in which case the two approaches may be combined.
What Is PRP?
Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is prepared from a small sample of your own blood.
The blood is placed into a centrifuge, which separates its components and allows the platelet-rich portion to be collected.
Platelets contain signaling proteins and growth factors that participate in tissue healing and repair. PRP has been used in several areas of medicine and aesthetics, including skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and intimate wellness procedures.
Because PRP comes from your own blood, there is no implanted donor material involved.

What Happens During Nipple Enhancement or Nipple Stimulation?
Treatment begins with a private consultation with Dr. Rawan Abu-Zeitoon.
Your concerns, medical history, previous breast procedures, medications, anatomy, and treatment goals will be reviewed before determining whether treatment is appropriate.
For PRP treatment:
-
A small amount of blood is drawn.
-
The blood is processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma.
-
The treatment area is cleansed and numbed.
-
PRP is carefully injected into selected areas.
If nipple enhancement with filler is also planned, a small amount of filler may then be placed strategically to improve projection, contour, or symmetry.
The procedure is performed in-office and generally requires little downtime.
When Will I See Results?
Results depend on which treatment is performed.
After Nipple Filler
Changes in projection or contour may be visible immediately.
Some initial swelling can temporarily make the nipple appear larger than the final result. As swelling decreases, the treated area generally settles into its final contour.
Dermal fillers are temporary and gradually metabolized by the body. How long the result lasts varies depending on the filler used, the amount placed, your anatomy, metabolism, and other factors.
After PRP Nipple Stimulation
PRP does not function like filler and usually does not create an immediate functional result.
Any potential changes associated with tissue remodeling may develop gradually over several weeks.
Some patients may notice a change in sensitivity or response while others may notice little or no improvement. Results cannot be predicted or guaranteed.
Can Nipple Enhancement Correct Inverted Nipples?
It depends on the cause and severity of the inversion.
Some mild nipple contour or projection problems may respond to injectable treatment, particularly when inadequate tissue support contributes to the appearance.
However, true nipple inversion may be caused by shortened milk ducts, scar tissue, congenital anatomy, or other structural factors that cannot be corrected with filler or PRP alone.
Newly developed nipple inversion—particularly when occurring on only one side—should be medically evaluated before pursuing cosmetic treatment.
During your consultation, Dr. Abu-Zeitoon can determine whether an injectable approach is reasonable or whether evaluation by a breast specialist or plastic surgeon would be more appropriate.
Can These Treatments Be Performed After Breast Augmentation?
Possibly.
Changes in nipple appearance or sensation can sometimes occur following breast augmentation, breast lift, breast reduction, reconstruction, or other breast procedures.
However, treatment depends heavily on the type of surgery performed, scar placement, implants, remaining tissue, and the cause of the concern.
A thorough medical history and examination are important before any injections are performed near previously operated breast tissue.
Can Nipple Enhancement Be Combined With Other Treatments?
Yes, when medically appropriate.
Nipple Enhancement or Nipple Stimulation may sometimes be performed as part of a broader breast or intimate wellness treatment plan.

What Are the Risks of Nipple Enhancement?
All injectable treatments have potential risks.
Temporary reactions can include:
-
Swelling
-
Bruising
-
Tenderness
-
Redness
-
Soreness
-
Temporary changes in sensitivity
-
Small areas of firmness
Potential complications of filler injections can include:
-
Infection
-
Asymmetry
-
Lumps or nodules
-
Irregular contour
-
Migration of filler
-
Persistent inflammation
-
Allergic or inflammatory reaction
-
Unsatisfactory cosmetic results
A rare but potentially serious complication of dermal filler injections is unintentional injection into or compression of a blood vessel, which may compromise circulation and result in tissue injury or tissue necrosis.
Because nipple filler is an off-label treatment and has not been evaluated by the FDA specifically for this indication, the complete risk profile in this anatomical area is not as well established as it is for FDA-approved filler indications.
What Are the Risks of PRP Nipple Stimulation?
PRP injections can also cause temporary:
-
Bruising
-
Swelling
-
Tenderness
-
Bleeding
-
Soreness
-
Temporary numbness or altered sensation
Less common complications can include infection, prolonged inflammation, nerve irritation, or an unsatisfactory response.
Because the treatment uses the patient's own plasma, allergic reactions to PRP itself are uncommon, although reactions can occur to other materials or medications used during the procedure.
Importantly, PRP cannot guarantee restoration of sensation when decreased sensitivity is caused by significant or permanent nerve injury.
Who Should Not Have Nipple Enhancement or Stimulation?
Treatment may not be appropriate for everyone.
You should inform your provider about:
-
Pregnancy or breastfeeding
-
Active breast or skin infections
-
History of breast cancer or abnormal breast imaging
-
New breast lumps or unexplained breast changes
-
New or unexplained nipple discharge
-
Newly developed nipple inversion
-
Bleeding or clotting disorders
-
Medications or supplements that affect bleeding
-
Significant immune disorders
-
Previous breast surgery or implants
-
Allergies to injectable products
-
Previous reactions to dermal fillers
Cosmetic treatment should never replace appropriate medical evaluation of a new breast or nipple abnormality.
Does Nipple Enhancement Affect Breastfeeding?
Any procedure involving the nipple or breast deserves special consideration in patients who are currently breastfeeding or planning future breastfeeding.<
