Eyebrow Lift

“Never underestimate the power of an eyebrow!”

-Jack Black

Overview

As part of aging, changes happen to the boney structure of the face, along with increased laxity of the skin resulting in droopiness of the eyebrow. This gives the person a more tired or angry look. Hence, Eyebrow lift has become a more and more popular procedure to achieve a more youthful and refreshed look.

How to get an eyebrow lift without surgery?

Several methods have been used to achieve an eyebrow-lift without having to undergo the knife. These methods can be used separately or together to reach the desired look.

Neuromodulators. like Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin can elevate the lateral side of an eyebrow and make the eyes look bigger and brighter. The mechanism is simple, by relaxing the latter fibers of the muscle responsible for closing the eye (Orbicularis Oculi), this decreases the pulling effect the muscle has on the eyebrow and hence allows it to bounce upwards.

Fillers. For eyebrow lift, Fillers can be placed in very precise doses and in specific locations. Doing so will compensate for the volume and bone loss that has caused the eyebrow to fall down.

PDO threads. Threads are dissolvable monofilaments placed under the skin that can provide lifting to the eyebrows via both the physical lifting of the sagging skin and adding volume in the underlying tissue.

How long do non-surgical eyebrow lift procedures last?

Neuromodulators’ duration differs from one person to another, but in general, you can expect the eyebrow Botox lift to last from 3-4 months.

Fillers can last from 9-18 months depending on the type of the filler. Some fillers are heavier than others and placed deep to the bone giving them higher longevity while others are affected by the forehead movement and hence wear off a little faster.

PDO Threads in general last from one to two years.

How long does non-surgical eyebrow lift procedure take?

All of these are less than 30 minutes of procedures with no downtime. Clients can go back to resume activities of daily living immediately after the procedure.
